To further understand himself, Image Maker Jason Lord examines his immigrant background as a culmination of imagery. 

One without certainty and ends due to the endless cycle of finding a new home. 
Only profoundly connected to land, flowers, animals, and the language of his roots. 
One that previous writers as Julio Cortazar, spoke of endearingly from distant lands. 

Through the contemporary lens,  inspired by European and Japanese points of view, his life and the images he produces are directed by juxtaposing the dualities of simple scenes portraying his two identities. The before and after of reinventing oneself. The desert and beach, where the quiet is what he found as home. 



Video work shown in one of the rooms — a sequence of shots stitched together, displacing time and place. Drawn to form and atmosphere rather than event. Accompanied by Rory Frew's acoustic cover of Atmosphere by Joy Division. The music that got me through that time.
